Hello! We’re glad you’re visiting! We’re the new volunteer leaders of the ELDTC. We hope we can assist you, and if you’re from East Lyme & a Dem, get to know you & bring you into the fold.
Did you know EVERY TOWN has a Democratic Town Committee or “DTC”? As part of our two-party system— this is a main way YOU can get more deeply involved with local government, meet like-minded neighbors, or just help with elections or issues close to your heart.
What are we about? EAST LYME DEMOCRATS are working to support a quality education for our children, preserve our environment, ease the burdens on seniors, and promote affordable living for all. We also aim to eliminate bigotry, facilitate smart, sustainable growth, and provide transparency and accountability in government. AND we believe these aims need not be inconsistent with a healthy economy and support of small business and large local employers.
