Easy-peasy and the MOST EFFECTIVE way for new volunteers to have a big impact.

RECURRING EVENT :: Every Tuesday 7-8 pm

“PHONE BANKING“ Don’t be put off by the name— this is less ‘tele-marketing’ and more reaching out to neighbors. This is calling our Registered local Dems with a convenient and easy auto-dialing program— from your own cell (or if you don’t want to use yours— we can arrange for a loaner Trac phone). The point? — To introduce Cate to our community, increase name recognition, gauge residents’ level of awareness/ interest, and to determine whether they are “1”s (a sure thing!) or “2”s (unfamiliar or tepid).

This is time for interpersonal contact with community members — to stimulate questions, conversation, and to share resources. There is a script but if you are comfortable and up to date you can divert from it. Responses are typically positive / welcome. And… once you are trained… you can actually call whenever and from wherever you want! (between 9 am - 8 pm that is.)

You can sign people up for a newsletter, to volunteer, direct them to Cate’s web or FB page or take down a question for Cate to get back to them.

There is a brief training (10 min if you are tech savvy/ 15-25 if you are less familiar).
